Eesti Pank began issuing the 500 Estonian kroon banknote in 2007. It was withdrawn from circulation in 1997. The early version of the 500 kroon banknote features Carl Robert Jakobson, an Estonian writer. On the reverse of this blue-violet Baltic banknote, a barn swallow is depicted.

Eesti Pank began issuing the 100 Estonian kroon banknote in 2007. It was withdrawn from circulation in 1994. This early version of the 100 kroon banknote features Lydia Koidula, an Estonian poet, on the front. The reverse side of the 100 EEK shows the Baltic Sea.

Eesti Pank began issuing the 50 Estonian kroon banknote in 1994. It was withdrawn from circulation in 2011. The fifty-kroon banknote features Rudolf Tobias, an Estonian composer. The banknote printed on green paper bears the inscription “Eesti Pank”. The 25-kroon banknote depicts the Estonian Theatre in Tallinn on the reverse.
