The banknote features the portrait of Charles Robert (Károly Róbert), King of Hungary. The inscription “Magyar Nemzeti Bank” appears on the note. The reverse of the 200 HUF banknote shows the ruins of Diósgyőr Castle.

The reverse of the banknote shows the castle in Sárospatak.
