We offer you the purchase of withdrawn Latvian banknotes presented on the website - lats was the official currency before the adoption of the euro, the currency was introduced into circulation on July 7, 1922, replacing the then Latvian markka. After a break caused by World War II and the occupation, the Latvian lats was restored on July 4, 1993 after Latvia regained independence. After the introduction of the euro, Latvian lats could be exchanged for euro at the Bank of Latvia and in some commercial banks for a specified period.
