Slovenian tolar banknotes were withdrawn from circulation in 2007, when Slovenia became the first former Yugoslav country to join the eurozone, and were introduced on October 8, 1991, after Slovenia declared independence and replaced the Yugoslav dinar. Slovenian tolar banknotes were available in the following denominations: 10 tolar, 20 tolar, 50 tolar, 100 tolar, 200 tolar, 500 tolar 1000 tolar, 5000 tolar, 10,000 tolar. After the introduction of the euro, tolars could be exchanged for euros at the National Bank of Slovenia for a certain period of time, but currently the possibility of exchange may be limited - if you have withdrawn Slovenian banknotes and want to sell them, please contact our employees.
